ELAENIA MARTINICA
The Caribbean Elaenia is a species of bird in the Tyrannidae family. They have rather prominent crest. The upperparts are dull olive to brownish olive and the underparts are largely pale. They also have two broad pale wing bars.
The Caribbean Elaenia are found in tropi- cal areas as well as areas with dense un- dergrowth, woodlands and swamps. They usually forage in pairs, searching for insects and fruit. Their call is a sharply whistled, sometimes slightly burry “wee-weew” or “wee-wee-weew”.
