Yellow Warbler
SETOPHAGA PETECHIA
The yellow warbler is a small bird from the warbler species. Both male and female are similar, having a greenish-yellow upperparts with a duller yellow below. They have dark eyes and dark thin short beak.
Yellow warblers can be found in semi-decid- uous forests, woodland areas and swamps. They feed on particular insects mainly in shrubs or trees. They also enjoy berries and similar small fruits. They are very sweet sound- ing birds with a whistling sound that consist of soft or harder chips. They sometime give hissing calls when alarmed or defending their territory.
