The White-tipped Black Moth, also known as the Snowbush Spanworm, is a small moth from the family Geometridae. Adults can be seen flying from September to December. The larvae feed on Euphorbiaceae plant species, including Phyllanthus angustifolius (Duppy Bush).
IDENTIFICATION: Adult White-tipped Black Moths are small and black in colour. The head and thorax are orange, while the abdomen is black. The wings are black with thin white wingtips at the ends. The wingspan is around 33mm.
