Silverfish
LEPISMA SACCHARINA
Silverfish are small nocturnal wingless insects. They have long antennae and move in a wiggling motion that resembles the movement of a fish. Silverfish prefer dark, moist, moderate temperature areas and can be mainly found in old storage boxes, bookcases, old stacks of papers and old books.
IDENTIFICATION: White to brown-gray or bluish-silver in color and have three long tails (cerci) at the tips of their abdomens.
