This insect, Bothriocera Cognita is also a member of Cixiid Planthopper family. No common name is associated with this species. This Planthopper can be found in open habitats, near wooded areas, swamps and forests. The Nymphs live underground, feeding on roots, while adults feed on herbs, shrubs and trees.
IDENTIFICATION: They are blue in colour with light yellow stripes, reddish eyes and distinctly blue and yellow patterned wings.
