Gyponine Leafhopper

Gyponana are large and robust Leafhoppers belonging to family Cicadellidae. The potato leafhopper feeds on more than 100 cultivated and wild plants. Nymph is smaller, wingless, and brighter yellow.
IDENTIFICATION: Adult Gyponana Leafhoppers are winged, pale green and wedge-shaped, usually about 9-11mm long. Leafhoppers have prominent eyes set wide apart, short antennae, and membranous front wings. Their hind legs are modified for jumping, and are covered with hairs.
