HYLEPHILA PHYLEUS
The Fiery Skipper is a butterfly species belonging to the family Hesperiidae. They can be found in sunny, open areas such as fields, lawns, gardens, and second-growth scrub. Fiery skippers hold their wings in triangle like shape, with the fore wings held upright, and the hind wings folded flat.

IDENTIFICATION: The males are orange or yellow with black spots while the females are dark brown with orange or yellow spots. The caterpillars are greenish pink with a black head.
