Rattus Rattus
Black rat (Rattus rattus), also commonly known as the roof rat, ship rat, or house rat.

Despite its name, its color varies from black to light brown, typically with a paler underside.
It is a slender rodent with large, thin, almost hairless ears.
The tail is long, scaly, and sparsely haired, typically longer than its head and body combined.
It is found worldwide, excluding Antarctica, and is considered an invasive species.
