Calotropis procera
Calotropis procera, commonly known as the small crownflower or giant milkweed.
Characteristics:
It is an upright, spreading shrub or small tree that typically grows 6 to 8 feet tall.
The plant produces a toxic white, milky sap that is extremely bitter.
Leaves and flowers of this species can be dried and used as incense.
The green fruits are balloon-like and contain the toxic sap.
It is native to Northern and Tropical Africa, Western Asia, South Asia, and Indochina.
