The West Indian Tree Snail is a species of air-breathing land snail in the family Orthalicidae. Many snails are found in trees and feed on organisms such as algae, fungi & lichens on trees. They are not agricultural pests and may be beneficial by feeding on the organisms on the tree.


It has a beautiful large, spiral-shaped shell with a distinctive pattern. The shell is often adorned with vibrant colors, including shades of yellow, orange, brown, and black. The intricate patterns on its shell make each individual snail unique.

These snails are arboreal, spending their lives in trees and vegetation. They are predominantly herbivorous, feeding on leaves, fruits, and other plant material.
