The West Indian Sea Egg or White Sea Urchin is an edible sea urchin in the family Toxopnuestidae.



IDENTIFICATION: The urchin is circular in shape and covered with short spines. The colour is black with white spines covering the entire body, with symmetrical rows with various sized beads and nodules. They are often harvested by divers for consumption or sale.
