This species of case-bearing leaf beetles belongs to the family Chrysomelidae, which are commonly known as Leaf Beetles. These beetles are one of the largest and most commonly encountered of all the beetle families. They can be found between and under leaves on small shrubs and bushes, often hidden from sight.
Identification: This species of leaf beetle are small and shiny. They have an orange head and pronotum. The elytra is black, usually with two yellow spots, one on each wing cover.
