smooth and globular in shape,
with a short flattened spire
and large body whorl. The col
or is grey to greyish brown and
sometimes faded. The aperture
is wide and gaping. It has an
umbilicus which is nearly cov
ered by a brown pad called a
callus. False Shark’s Eye shells
do not have the Callus.
