The Flamingo tongue is a sea
snail from the family Ovuli
dae.
IDENTIFICATION: The shell
elongated, glossy and smooth.
There is a slightly off centered
raised rib on the dorsal side
that extends towards the
aperture. The colour is creamy
white, sometimes with areas
of yellow to pink. When alive,
the mantle tissue covers the
shell, giving it a bright orange
to yellow color with black
markings.
