TURRITRITON LABIOSUS
The Full-Lipped Triton is a sea
snail in the family Cymattiidae.
IDENTIFICATION: The shell
is thick and solid, with 5-6
whorls with a medium sized
spire. There are 5-6 axial ridges
on each whorl and spiral ribs
that overlay the axial folds.
The colour is white to tan in
colour with spiral lines of a
chestnut brown. The aperture
is white and the outer lip is
flared. The siphonal canal is
short and wide.
