The Cosmopolitan Hairy Triton
is a predatory sea snail in the
family Cymatiidae.
IDENTIFICATION:The shell is
elongated with a tall spire and
a strongly inflated body whorl,
that contain ribs with distinct
notches on each whorl. The
colour is a yellowish-brown
with chestnut- brown spiral
ribs. The columella and the
aperture are dark brown with
white teeth. The outer sculpture is ribbed.
