FREGATA MAGNIFICENS
The Magnificent Frigatebird is a large sea- bird that is often seen gliding high over the ocean. They have a dark brown to black plumage, long narrow wings and a long forked tail. Males have a scarlet throat pouch that is inflated like a balloon in the breeding season, while females have a white breast. Immature birds have a white head and white underparts.
Frigatebirds can be seen flying high, often circling in search of food. Frigatebirds mainly feed on fish taken from the ocean’s surface when in flight.
