What do spiders eat?

Most spiders are carnivorous, feeding on flies, moths, butterflies, ants, and other small creatures. Some spiders wait in their webs for prey to come to them, while other spiders go out on the hunt. Some spiders rely on using silk to immobilise prey, while others inject powerful venom to subdue their victims, leaving them helpless.
