The Green Anole Lizard, often simply called the "green lizard," is renowned for its ability to change colors, reflecting its mood, temperature, and environment. This remarkable trait, known as "physiological color change," enables it to blend seamlessly into the lush foliage of Barbados' diverse landscapes.

These lizards are frequently spotted in gardens, urban areas, and rainforests, showcasing their adaptability to both natural and human-altered habitats. They're agile climbers, adept at scaling trees and vegetation while hunting for a diet primarily composed of insects and small invertebrates.
