The Bleeding Tooth Nerite is a sea snail in the family Neritidae. The shell is solid and globular in shape. It has a short, flattened spire and large body whorl It is sculptured with groves and ridges that follow the spiral. The colour is yellow or reddish, with dark streaks or zigzag patterns. The inner lip is smooth and flat, with two pronounced teeth. The area around the teeth is stained red, giving a bleeding tooth appearance.
