Rice Stink bug
OEBALUS PUGNAX
The Rice Stink Bug, Oebalus Pugnax, is
a flying insect in the shield bug family
Pentatomidae. It has a narrow profile
that forms the shield shape that is
characteristic of other stink bugs. This
agricultural pest is known to attack
cereal crops with small seeds, The insect
also lives in wild grasses. Like other stink
bugs, they emit an odor when disturbed.

IDENTIFICATION: The adults are a
shiny golden brown. These true bugs are

center of the shield.
